Ministry of National Security
The Ministry of National Security will be the Model of National Security Excellence in the Caribbean Region, characterized by a highly trained and motivated staff, sophisticated and flexible policy development capacity, effective and efficient deployment of resources, the employment of modern technology and best practices in crime fighting, crime prevention and protecting the nation from external threats.
Jamaica Constabulary Force
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is responsible for the maintenance of law and order, the prevention and detection of crime, the investigation of alleged crimes, the protection of life and property and the enforcement of all criminal laws as defined by the Jamaican penal code. The JCF also provides general assistance to the public, as needed. By adherence to our Citizens’ Charter, the JCF endeavours to serve its citizens through the impartial, transparent enforcement of law and order.
Jamaica Defence Force
The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is comprised of an Infantry Regiments, Reserve Corps, Maritime, Air and Cyber Command, Support Brigade and an institutional arm known as The Caribbean Military Academy. The JDF has responsibility for the defence and protection from external forces or threat to the sovereignty of Jamaica. The JDF also supports the maintenance of order in Jamaica as well as any other duties that may occasionally be defined by the Defence Board.
Financial Investigations Division
The main objectives of the Division are to investigate allegations of money laundering, financial crime and corruption in liaison with other national regional law enforcement agencies, detect, deter and aid the prosecution of offences committed under the various acts dealing with financial crimes, by causing a reduction of the actual and expected profits that would evolve from such corrupt activities and to collaborate with international bodies in responding to transnational crimes under the Mutual Legal Assistance (Criminal Matters) Act.
Tax Administration Jamaica
Tax Administration Jamaica proudly operates as the country’s premiere revenue collecting agency. In keeping with their mission, their primary goal is to foster voluntary compliance, collect the revenue due in an equitable and efficient manner, contribute to a competitive business environment and facilitate economic growth and development.
Jamaica Customs
Jamaica Customs has three specific mandates: The equitable collection of revenue, protection of Jamaica’s borders against illicit imports and the facilitation of trade. All customs activities are governed by the Customs Act. In addition to its own laws, Customs enforces over 125 other provisions of law for other agencies.
Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency
Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency's functions are integral to the nation’s border security system. The Agency accepts and process passport applications, manages the island’s immigration processes and handles matters in relation to application for and renunciation of Jamaican citizenship.

The Caribbean Community is the oldest surviving integration movement in the developing world. It is a grouping of twenty countries: fifteen Member States and five Associate Members. Its primary objectives are to promote economic integration and cooperation among its members, to ensure that the benefits of integration are equitably shared, and to coordinate foreign policy.

Transparency International its nonprofit and non-governmental purpose is to take action to combat global corruption with civil societal anti-corruption measures and to prevent criminal activities arising from corruption. It strive towards a world where the power to make decisions affecting people’s lives is held to account and serves the common good. To achieve this, they address loopholes in legislation and regulation, push the powerful to act with integrity and seek redress for those who are robbed of a chance to live in an equitable and just society.
International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs
International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is an international law enforcement agency that works to keep Americans safe by countering international crime, illegal drugs and instability abroad. They assist more than 90 countries worldwide, through strengthening and carrying out justice to their police forces, courts and corrections systems.This is done in an effort to reduce the amount of crime and illegal drugs reaching U.S. borders.
National Crime Agency
The National Crime Agency is a national law enforcement agency in the United Kingdom. It is the UK's lead agency against organised crime; human, weapon and drug trafficking; Cybercrime; and economic crime that goes across regional and international borders, but can be tasked to investigate any crime.
