MOCA CHARGES BUSINESS PROCESS OUTSOURCING (BPO) EMPLOYEE FOR IDENTITY THEFT

On Friday 28th June 2019, Detectives from the Major Organised Crime and Anti Corruption Agency MOCA arrested and charged 21 year old Javier Smith of  Burnside Valley,  St. Andrew   for  various breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transaction)(Special Provisions) Act.

Smith who is employed to a prominent call centre was charged with three counts under the Law Reform after he was held in possession of and  seen distributing  personal information belonging to clients overseas from the company’s domain to an external source.

He is scheduled to appear in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday July 3, 20 19.
