Justice of the Peace Charged for Forgery

Seymour Cole, Justice of the Peace for the parish of Kingston and Shadae Hood a trainee at Seymour Documents and Services, were both arrested and charged for Forgery, Conspiracy to Commit Forgery and Uttering Forged Documents by detectives from MOCA.

Allegations are that during the month of January 2018, Seymour Cole, the owner and operator of Seymour Documents and Services, affixed his signature and seal to several letters of recommendation for persons unfamiliar to him.  This transaction would attract a service charge of Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00).  Further investigation revealed that Ms. Hood and Barrington Sinclair, who is employed as an Office Administrator would also affix Cole’s signature and seal to recommendations even when Cole is out office.

Subsequently, Cole and Hood were charged and later offered station bail.  They are scheduled to appear before the Kingston St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday July 11, 2018.  However, Sinclair is still being sought by MOCA detectives for an interview.
