Ex-Cop Plead Guilty to Embezzlement Charges – Clinton Williams

Ex-Police Constable Clinton Williams plead guilty to four counts of Embezzlement when he appeared before the St. Ann Parish Court on Thursday December 20, 2018. He was subsequently sentenced to pay a fine of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) or thirty (30) days imprisonment.

In March 2013 a report was made to then Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) regarding the misuse of an Advance Gas Card that was reported missing and deactivated.  An investigation commenced and It revealed that the then Constable Clinton Williams used the card to purchase fuel valued at Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00), during the time it was reported missing.

A file was prepared and submitted to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) who ruled 2018 that member be charged for four counts of Embezzlement. Consequently, Williams was arrested on warrant and charged on Monday December 3, 2018.
